Completion of the Construction of the Skip Shaft Headframe Complex at the 10th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence Mine
We are pleased to announce the successful completion and commissioning of the skip shaft headframe complex as part of the project “Donskoy GOK – a branch of JSC TNK Kazchrome: 10th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence Mine. Phase Two Construction.”
The project was carried out by a consortium consisting of PSI ENGINEERING and Karasai Machine-Building Plant (QMOZ). Within the framework of the project, we performed a range of tasks, including:
development of design documentation, metal structure drawings, and detailing (KMD);
organization of material and technical supply;
construction, installation, and commissioning works.
This project became a significant milestone in our company's history and a major challenge for the entire team. The height of the headframe structure is 80 meters.
Key Project Statistics:
3,698 tons of metal structures;
865,000 man-hours;
5,762 m³ of concrete;
31 units of specialized equipment.
The project was fully completed within 21 months.
It is worth noting that the project was implemented under challenging climatic conditions in the Khromtau region. Despite the severe weather, our team successfully handled all tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Importantly, the project was delivered with zero incidents or injuries resulting in work capacity loss.
The significance of the project is underscored by the visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the site, a key event for both the region and the entire country. More details about the visit can be found on the Akorda website.
JSC Eurasian Group (ERG), our long-term partner and trusted client, continues to rely on our expertise and experience. We are proud to contribute to the implementation of projects that are vital for the country.
